Glider Scheduling by Appointment

How to Schedule Personalized Orientation Flight days: Specially set Glider Orientation Flight sessions can be scheduled by a Squadron Senior Member through the Glider Flight Schedule Officer.  All requests MUST be in writing via email. No verbal requests will be accepted. All scheduling correspondence will be via email.

Presently we have the ability to have have sessions as needed weekdays and all day most weekends at KIMM.

A minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 Cadets per session (8 flights max) can be scheduled, unless prior special arrangements are made. Generally a maximum of 2 flights per session, per Cadet is allowed. This is done to give the Cadet the maximum experience without the possibility of motion sickness.

The Squadron must assign a Senior Member(s) to bring/accompany the Cadets to the Glider port and to provide supervision on the ground, as required by CAP regulations. The Senior Member(s) MUST provide supervision for the ENTIRE time there.

The Senior Member(s) may take a flight after all the Cadets have flown, if time allows and they pay for their own aero tow.  Present cost is $50.00, subject to change.

Maximum passenger weight is 226#s. This is for Safety reasons and glider limitations.
